Intelsat 19 - launch success

BERN, Switzerland, June 1, 2012



Sea Launch Zenit-3SL rocket has successfully launched the Intelsat 19 satellite from the Equator on the ocean-based Launch Platform Odyssey at 22:23 Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on Thursday, May 31st (05:23 UTC/GMT, Friday, June 1). Built by Space Systems/Loral and weighing 5,600 kilograms the satellite was inserted into geosynchronous transfer orbit one hour later by the Block DM-SL upper stage and operators at the Intelsat Launch Control Center acquired its first signals shortly after separation. It was the first of three Sea Launch’s planned missions in 2012.

Nimiq 6 - launch success

BAIKONUR COSMODROME, Kazakhstan, May 18, 2012



The International Launch Services Proton/Breeze M launched from Baikonur's Pad 24 at 1:12 a.m. today local time (19:12 GMT, 3:12 p.m. EDT, on May 17) successfully delivered the Nimiq 6 satellite for Canadian Satcom operator Telesat. Weighing approximately 4.5 metric tons, the satellite was released into the planned geostationary transfer orbit after a 9 hour 14 minute mission. It was the 5th successful proton launch in the past 93 days.

JCSat-13/Vinasat-2 - Launch success

Lifting off from the Spaceport in French Guiana, Ariane 5 delivered the JCSAT-13 and VINASAT-2 telecommunication satellites into geostationary transfer orbit for two Asian region operators with its 48th consecutive success flight.

Yahsat 1B - launch success

BAIKONUR COSMODROME, Kazakhstan, April 24, 2012



International Launch Services (ILS) Proton/Breeze M vehicle has successfully launched the Yahsat 1B satellite today for Al Yah Satellite Communications (Yahsat) of Abu Dhabi. After 9 hours 12 minutes mission the satellite was released into geostationary transfer orbit. Its final orbit destination slot will be announced at the later date.

Apstar 7 - launch success

CGWICs Long March-3B rocket has successfully launched Hong-Kong's APT Satellite Company Ltd APSTAR 7 satellite weighing 5054kg from the Chinese Xichang Satellite Launch Center. The lift-off occured at 10:27 and after 36 minutes mission the satellite was successfully separated to . APSTAR 7 has 28 C and 28 Ku-band transponders and will replace the aging APSTAR 2R satellite at 76.5 East longitude.
