Intelsat 22 - launch success

Luxembourg and Reston, VA, 25 March 2012



International Launch Services (ILS) Proton/Beeze-M vehicle has successfully launched the Intelsat 22 satellite weighing 6199 kg from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. After a 15:30 hours mission Breeze-M released the satellite into supersynchronous transfer orbit (SSTO) at a 65,000 km apogee.

SpaceX to launch ABS-3A and Satmex-7

Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) has signed contracts with Asia Broadcast Satellite (ABS) and Satelites Mexicanos (Satmex) to launch ABS-3A and Satmex 7 aboard SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket.

Boeing to build ABS-3A and Satmex-7

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., March 13, 2012



 

The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] has been awarded a contract to build 4 satellites for Asia Broadcast Satellite (ABS) and Satelites Mexicanos (Satmex) with options to build 4 additional satellites. The first two satellites - ABS-3A and Satmex 7, are scheduled to be delivered together in late 2014 or early 2015. Details about the other two satellites, including names and launch plans, will be announced at a later date.

Arianespace to launch Jabiru-1

Australian operator NewSat chooses Arianespace to launch its first Jabiru-1 satellite into geostationary transfer orbit by an Ariane 5 launch vehicle from the Guiana Space Center, Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana, during the fourth quarter of 2014.
